Under(her)tail: Love and Lust is an Undertale fangame where the player controls an adult human falling into a sexier Underground. 

A demo for the first area of the game (Ruins) is due to release in March 2023 when it's ready!

Gameplay

The primary gameplay loop of Under(her)tail: Love and Lust involves travelling through the Underground and befriending/fucking the local monster girls of each area. 

On top of dodging bullet hell attacks, combat (Sexual Encounters) revolves around the player's choice to either...

• Perform ACTs to leave the enemy Pleased (equiv. to Sparing) 
• Have some FUN to leave the enemy Mindblown (equiv. to Killing).

This choice will lead the player down one of three overall Routes in the game: 

• Lover (equiv. to Pacifist)
• Lustful (equiv. to No Mercy)
• Neutral

Story

The game will follow a similar structure to Undertale, where the human falls into the Underground and travels through different areas to eventually reach the exit. However, this story will be expanded with new characters, conflicts, and sex (of course). Furthermore, there are differences between UHT:LL and Undertale/the original fan comic by TheWill.

• Differences from Undertale:
  • Killing vs Mindblowing - In Undertale, the player is given the choice to FIGHT enemies, lowering their HP bar until they are killed. In UHT:LL, the equivalent choice is to have FUN with enemies, filling their LP (Lust Points) bar until it is maxed out. This leads to a sex scene that leaves the enemy Mindblown, resulting in state of mind-break and corruption of monster’s character.

• Differences from the Under(her)tail comic by TheWill:
  • The Protagonist Is You - The adult human you play as is intended to serve as a vessel for you the player. This human is not a character like Frisky, who has a defined personality and motivations for his journey through the Underground.

Theme/Setting/Genre

Theme: "True happiness comes with living a fulfilling life, facing your problems, and mindful love."

• The main characters you meet often have 'problems' that get in the way of happiness, but don't go about facing them the right way (or at all).
• As the player, you will have the opportunity to help these characters find true happiness, be it helping them face their problems, or move on from what's making them unhappy.
• Alternatively, you can also fuck them so hard that they stop thinking about their problems altogether (mindbreak, corruption)
• Overall, the player has the choice of offering two kinds of 'happiness': the true happiness mentioned before, OR the "happiness" of only thinking about sexual pleasure from being Mindblown

Setting: The game is set in an altered version of Undertale’s Underground with a few key differences:

• All monsters are female and have physically-feminine forms.
• Monster culture is centered around sex and sexuality.

Monetization model:

• No Direct Monetization: Given the game’s status as a fangame, the developer team cannot fund the game directly, and works with no expectation for remuneration. Instead, links to the support pages for individual creators will be shared & promoted by the team.

Game Scope/Release Plan: The game will be gradually released in separate chunks. 

• v1.0 (Ruins) - TBC - Demo of the core game mechanics and gameplay loop: entire Ruins area fully playable
• v2.0 (Snowdic + Dripwet) - TBC - Next two areas of the game fully playable
• v3.0 (Hottieland + New Home) - TBC - Final two areas of the game fully playable
• v4.0 (Endgame) - TBC - Routes and endings fully realized, the game is considered “complete” at this point.
